Toddli User Guide
From first heartbeat to first steps — Toddli is your warm, reliable companion through every beautiful (and sometimes messy) moment of parenthood.
Whether you are counting down the weeks until your due date or navigating your baby's first year, Toddli helps you track, understand, and celebrate it all. This guide will walk you through everything the app can do — at your own pace.

Welcome to Toddli
Parenthood is one of the most extraordinary journeys you will ever take — and one of the most overwhelming. Between feedings, diaper changes, nap schedules, and doctor visits, it can feel like there is too much to keep track of and too little sleep to keep track of it with.
Toddli was built for exactly this moment.
It is a parenting companion that helps you:
- Track daily care — feedings, sleep, diapers, and more — so you can spot patterns and feel confident at your next pediatrician visit.
- Watch your baby grow — with growth charts, milestone tracking, and AI-powered insights that put the numbers in context.
- Stay organized as a family — shared task lists, reminders, and family accounts so no one carries the load alone.
- Get instant guidance — from an AI assistant that actually knows your baby and your situation.
- Treasure the moments — with photos, memories, and milestone celebrations you can look back on for years.
And if you are still expecting? Toddli is there too, with a full pregnancy companion that grows with you week by week.
You do not need to be tech-savvy. You do not need to read this entire guide. Just start with whatever feels most useful right now, and explore the rest when you are ready.

Getting Started
Setting up Toddli takes about five minutes — and you will be logging your first activity before your coffee gets cold.
Step 1: Create Your Account
Open the app and tap Get Started. You have three ways to sign up:
- Email and Password — Enter your email and create a password (at least 6 characters).
- Sign in with Google — One tap to connect your Google account.
- Sign in with Apple — Quick, private sign-in on iOS devices.
Step 2: Tell Us About Your Journey
During onboarding, the app will ask a few simple questions:
- Are you expecting or have you welcomed your baby? This determines whether you see pregnancy features or baby tracking features.
- Add your baby — Enter their name and either a due date or date of birth.
- Pick your preferences — Choose your language (English or Portuguese) and theme (Light, Dark, or match your device).
- Review the privacy terms — A quick read about how your data is kept safe.
A family account is created for you automatically. You can invite your partner or other caregivers anytime.
Step 3: Log Your First Activity
That is it! Head to the home screen, tap one of the quick log buttons, and you are off. The more you log, the more useful Toddli becomes — but there is no pressure to track everything. Start with what matters most to you.
Pro Tip
You can add more babies anytime from the baby switcher at the top of the home screen or from Settings. Perfect for families with multiples or siblings.

Your Home Screen
Your home screen is your daily dashboard — and it looks different depending on where you are in your journey.
If Your Baby Is Born
You will see:
- Your baby's age — displayed in days, weeks, or months, so you always know exactly where you are.
- Quick Log buttons — four big, colorful buttons for the things you do most:
- Feeding — Log a feeding session
- Sleep — Log a nap or nighttime sleep
- Diaper — Log a diaper change
- More — Access all other activity types
- Smart Insights — Personalized tips and suggestions based on your baby's age, recent activities, and developmental phase. These update as your baby grows.
- Phase Tools — Quick access to age-appropriate tools like play ideas, health guides, milestones, and the teething calendar.
- For You — Curated content cards covering feeding, sleep, development, health, wellbeing, routines, and safety.
- Recent Activities — A quick glance at what has been logged recently.
If You Are Expecting
You will see:
- Pregnancy countdown — How many weeks and days until your due date, along with your current trimester.
- Quick Check-in buttons — Mood, Baby Today, Memories, and Ask AI.
- Week Guide — What is happening with your baby's development this week.
- Feature Cards — Quick access to the Prenatal Assistant and Pregnancy Preparation tools.
Pro Tip
If you have more than one child, tap the baby name at the top of the screen to switch between profiles. Each child has their own separate data and timeline.

Tracking Your Baby's Day
We know the early days can feel like a blur of feedings and diaper changes. Tracking helps you see the patterns — and those patterns help you feel more in control. They are also incredibly useful when your pediatrician asks, "How often is the baby eating?"
Quick Logging
The fastest way to log is right from your home screen. Tap one of the four quick log buttons and you are recording in seconds:
- Feeding — Opens the feeding form
- Sleep — Opens the sleep form
- Diaper — Opens the diaper form
- More — Shows all activity types
What You Can Track
Feeding
Whether you are breastfeeding, bottle feeding, or starting solids, Toddli has you covered:
- Breastfeeding — Choose left, right, or both sides. The app remembers which side you used last and gently suggests the next one.
- Bottle — Record the amount and whether it is formula or expressed breast milk.
- Solid Food — Log meals with optional notes about what was served.
Each feeding captures the time, optional duration, and any notes you want to add.
Sleep
- Naps — Daytime sleep sessions.
- Night Sleep — Overnight sleep.
Log start time and duration. Toddli calculates daily sleep totals and helps you spot sleep patterns over time.
Diaper
- Wet — Urine only.
- Dirty — Stool only.
- Mixed — Both.
The app tracks frequency and patterns — helpful for making sure your baby is well-hydrated and healthy.
More Activities
- Medication — Name, dosage, and time.
- Temperature — In Celsius or Fahrenheit.
- Mood — Happy, calm, fussy, crying, or sleepy.
- Bath — Log bath time.
- Tummy Time — Track duration of tummy time sessions.
- Walk — Log outdoor walks.
- Note — A free-text entry for anything else.
Voice Input
Hands full? Just talk.
- Tap the microphone button on any logging screen.
- Speak naturally: "Baby had a 20-minute breastfeeding session on the left side."
- Toddli fills in the fields automatically.
- Review and confirm.
Pro Tip
Voice input works in both English and Portuguese, and it understands natural language — just describe what happened the way you would tell a friend.
Viewing and Managing Activities
- Activity Timeline — See everything in chronological order from the Activities tab or home screen.
- Filter by type — Focus on just feedings, just sleep, or any other category.
- Edit — Tap any activity to change the details.
- Delete — Swipe left or tap the delete option.
- Mark for Report — Flag specific activities to share with your pediatrician at the next appointment.
Activity Analytics
The Analytics screen gives you visual summaries of your baby's day and week:
- Feeding frequency and duration trends
- Sleep totals and patterns
- Diaper change counts
- How activity is distributed over time
These charts help you spot patterns you might miss in the daily shuffle.

Watching Them Grow
There is nothing quite like watching your little one grow — and Toddli helps you track every centimeter and celebrate every new skill.
Growth Charts
Recording Measurements
- Go to the Growth screen.
- Tap Add Measurement.
- Enter any combination of:
- Weight (kg or lb)
- Height/Length (cm or inches)
- Head Circumference (cm)
- Select the date and add optional notes.
- Tap Save.
Understanding the Charts
Your baby's measurements are plotted on interactive charts against WHO growth standards — the same references your pediatrician uses. You will see percentile curves (3rd, 15th, 50th, 85th, and 97th) so you can see exactly where your baby falls.
Charts are available for:
- Weight-for-age
- Height-for-age
- Head circumference-for-age
- Growth trends over time
AI Growth Narrative
Not sure what the numbers mean? Tap the AI narrative button on the growth screen and get a plain-language explanation:
- Where your baby falls on the growth curve
- Whether growth is on track
- Any trends worth watching
- When it might be a good idea to check in with your pediatrician
Pro Tip
Record measurements right after a doctor visit while the numbers are fresh. Consistent tracking over time gives you the most meaningful picture.
Milestones
Every smile, every roll, every wobbly first step — milestones are the magic moments that mark your baby's development.
Four Categories
- Motor — Rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, walking, fine motor skills
- Cognitive — Object permanence, problem-solving, cause and effect
- Social — Smiling, eye contact, separation awareness, empathy
- Language — Cooing, babbling, first words, following commands
Tracking Milestones
- Go to the Milestones screen.
- Browse milestones organized by category and expected age.
- Tap a milestone to mark it as achieved.
- Add the achievement date, notes, and photos.
Milestones are pre-populated based on standard developmental expectations. The app highlights which ones are expected at your baby's current age and which are coming up next.
Celebration Moments
When you mark a milestone as achieved, you will see a delightful celebration animation. Because every little victory deserves to be recognized — whether it is their first giggle or the day they figured out how to grab their toes.
Crisis Calendar
The crisis calendar combines two sources of fussy-period data into one unified week-by-week view, so you always know what is driving your baby's behavior:
- Developmental leaps — Based on Wonder Weeks research, these are the cognitive growth periods when babies take a mental leap forward and often become clingy, fussy, or hard to settle.
- Physical growth spurts — Based on AAP guidelines, these are the weeks of rapid physical growth when appetite and sleep patterns are disrupted: weeks 2, 3, 6, 12, 16, 26, 39, and 52.
The calendar uses color coding so you can see what kind of fussy period is coming at a glance:
- Blue — Calm week, no active leap or spurt
- Yellow — Physical growth spurt
- Pale orange — Early signs of an upcoming developmental leap
- Orange — Active developmental leap
Tap any week on the calendar to see detailed information about what to expect and how to support your baby during that period.

Staying on Top of Health
Keeping up with vaccinations and doctor visits is one of those things that feels like a lot — until you have a system. Toddli is that system.
Vaccination Tracker
The vaccination tracker shows you exactly what your baby needs and when, based on official immunization schedules from 12 countries:
Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, Portugal, Singapore, United Kingdom, and United States.
Setting Your Country
- Go to Settings.
- Under Vaccine Countries, select up to 2 countries.
- The schedule updates automatically.
Pro Tip
Selecting two countries is great for multicultural families or if you are following guidelines from more than one healthcare system. You can even compare schedules side by side.
What You See
- Upcoming vaccines — Sorted by recommended age, with highlights for what is due soon.
- Overdue vaccines — Anything past the recommended window, so nothing slips through.
- Administered vaccines — Everything already completed, with dates.
Each vaccine shows its name, recommended age, dose number, and current status.
Marking a Vaccine as Done
- Tap the vaccine in the schedule.
- Mark it as Administered.
- Enter the date and optionally add the batch number, clinic name, and notes.
- Tap Save.
Appointments
Track all of your baby's doctor appointments in one place.
Creating an Appointment
- Go to Appointments.
- Tap Add Appointment.
- Fill in the purpose (e.g., "2-month checkup"), date, time, doctor, location, and any notes.
- Optionally link a vaccine from the schedule or set it as recurring.
Preparing for Doctor Visits
This is where Toddli really shines. Before an appointment:
- Mark activities, growth measurements, or milestones as "for report" throughout the week.
- Attach them to the upcoming appointment.
- Walk into the pediatrician's office with everything at your fingertips.
No more scrambling to remember when the last fever was or how many feedings your baby had yesterday.

Your AI Companion
Imagine having a knowledgeable, patient friend who knows your baby's age, recent patterns, and developmental stage — and is available at 3 AM when you have a question about night feedings. That is the Toddli AI assistant.
What It Can Help With
- Answer parenting questions — Sleep training approaches, feeding schedules, developmental concerns, safety tips.
- Review your baby's data — "How much did my baby sleep today?" or "When was the last feeding?"
- Explain growth data — "What does the 50th percentile mean for my baby's weight?"
- Check milestones — "What milestones should my 6-month-old be reaching?"
- Review vaccination status — "What vaccines are coming up?"
- Log activities for you — "Log a breastfeeding on the left side for 15 minutes" — it proposes the entry and you confirm.
- Create tasks — "Remind me to buy diapers tomorrow" — it creates the task for you to approve.
- Pregnancy guidance — "What should I expect at 28 weeks?"
- Show memories — "Show me recent photos of the baby."
How to Use It
- Tap the AI assistant button on the home screen or use the chat icon from any screen.
- Type your question or use voice input.
- The assistant looks up your baby's information as needed — you may see messages like "Checking recent activities..." while it works.
- For actions (like logging an activity or creating a task), it shows you a preview to confirm before anything is saved.
Specialized AI Advisors
In addition to the general chat assistant, Toddli includes specialized AI advisors for Sleep and Feeding that go beyond general tips:
- Sleep Advisor — Receives your baby's actual logged sleep data (total hours, nap counts, longest stretch) to give advice grounded in your baby's real patterns — not generic averages.
- Feeding Support — Receives recent feeding counts, intervals, and amounts to provide contextual guidance tailored to your feeding situation.
This means the advice you get reflects what is actually happening with your baby, not just a generic response.
Tips for Best Results
- Be specific — "How many feedings today?" gives you a better answer than "Tell me about feeding."
- Ask follow-ups — The assistant remembers your conversation, so you can dig deeper.
- Use it in your language — It responds in whichever language you have set in the app.
- Trust but verify medical advice — The assistant provides general guidance based on pediatric guidelines. For health concerns, it will always recommend consulting your doctor — and so do we.
Pro Tip
Try asking the AI to log activities or create tasks using voice input. It is the fastest way to get things done when your hands are full with a baby.

Pro Tip
You do not need to wait for big moments. The everyday ones — bath time giggles, a funny face during tummy time, falling asleep in a silly position — are often the ones you will treasure most.

Tips & FAQ
Pro Tips
- Use voice input whenever possible. When you are holding a baby in one arm, speaking is so much faster than typing.
- Mark activities "for report" throughout the week — not just the night before the appointment. You will thank yourself later.
- Check Smart Insights daily. They change based on your baby's age and recent patterns, and often surface things you might not have thought about.
- Invite your partner on day one. Shared tracking means shared understanding — and fewer "Did you feed the baby?" conversations.
- Do not stress about tracking everything. Even logging just feedings and sleep gives you valuable patterns. Start small and add more when it feels natural.
Common Questions
Can multiple caregivers log activities at the same time?
Absolutely. Family members can log simultaneously, and everything stays up to date for everyone in real time.
Is my data private and secure?
Yes. Your data is stored securely and is only accessible to members of your family. Nothing is sold or shared with third parties. Ever.
Can I use Toddli for twins or multiple babies?
Yes! Add each baby separately and switch between them using the baby switcher at the top of the home screen. Each child has their own complete profile and timeline.
What happens when my baby turns one?
Toddli tracks development through the first 12 months and beyond. The app continues to work for logging activities, growth, and milestones past the first year.
How reliable is the AI assistant?
The AI provides general parenting guidance based on established pediatric guidelines. It is knowledgeable and helpful — but it is not a doctor. For medical concerns, always consult your healthcare provider. The assistant will remind you of this too.
Can I use the app during pregnancy and after the baby is born?
Yes! Start with pregnancy features, and when your baby arrives, simply update their profile with a date of birth. All your pregnancy data is preserved, and the app transitions to baby tracking mode.
What if I forget to log something?
No worries — you can always add activities after the fact. Just tap the time field when logging and adjust it to whenever the activity actually happened.
Does the app work without an internet connection?
Yes. Recent data is available offline, and anything you log while disconnected will be saved once you are back online.
Thank you for choosing Toddli. We are honored to be part of your family's story.
